He's The One

“HE’S THE ONE” holds a special place in the J. Allen Tracy catalog as the first Christmas song I ever wrote.

The song returns to the quiet fields outside Bethlehem, where shepherds kept watch beneath the night sky, unaware that they were about to become witnesses to one of the greatest moments in history. An angel appears, a star leads the way, and the shepherds journey toward a humble stable where they discover the Child who would change the world forever.

What begins quietly and reverently grows into a celebration as the shepherds behold the precious Son of God and realize that salvation has come to mankind.

Then the story gives way to praise.

Hallelujah—Christ has come.

“He’s The One” is my musical telling of the Christmas story: the wonder of the shepherds, the holiness of the manger, the joy of Heaven, and the fulfillment of a promise generations had waited to see.

The little Child lying in that manger was more than a baby born on a holy night.

He was the Savior.

He was the promised King.

He’s The One we had been waiting for.
